鲍威尔接任，华尔街一边倒
据《华尔街日报》调查的大多数经济学家预计，美联储将在3月和6月再次上调利率。近93%的商业和学术经济学家在本月的调查中预测，美联储将在3月20-21日的政策会议上加息。经济学家们普遍预计，美联储今年将加息三次。
将近三分之二的经济学家，预计美联储在6月12-13日会议上的第二次加息。分析师表示，适度的高通胀、坚实的劳动力市场和强劲的国内生产总值(GDP)增长将为美联储提供充足的理由。
美联储在2017年12月将基准联邦基金利率上调0.25个百分点，至1.25%至1.5%之间，并预计2018年将加息3次。调查中没有一位经济学家认为美联储会在1月30-31日的下次会议上加息。
在最新的调查中，经济学家的中值预测显示，联邦基金利率在长期内稳定在2.85%，略高于美联储官员12月预测的中值2.75%。经济学家预计，较长期失业率为4.1%，低于美联储4.6%的预期。
在2017年12月12日至13日的会议上，美联储官员预计，2018年的经济增长将高于9月份，这在一定程度上反映了预期的低税收对经济的提振。会议结束后，美国国会批准了特朗普总统签署了1.5万亿美元的减税法案。
分析师表示，新的税收法案赋予(利率设定的联邦公开市场委员会)喘息的空间，使其能够继续执行其政策回调。
在未来几个月，美联储面临着领导层的转变。鲍威尔已被美国总统特朗普提名，将在二月接替美联储主席耶伦。由于他一贯支持美联储前主席伯南克和耶伦的政策方向，市场和经济学家都不认为鲍威尔会大幅偏离美联储目前的计划，即渐进式加息。
分析师表示，鲍威尔最终将在美联储做出自己的决定。但最初，不要指望他的前任所表现出的谨慎、有条不紊的货币政策会出现任何变化。
