比特币引发金价新一轮多头
分析师表示，2018年及以后黄金的走势看起来都很乐观。多方因素都可能触发黄金新一轮的涨势。这些因素包括金融市场资产的过高估值，美国财政状况的恶化，通胀压力的上升，实物黄金需求的不断增加 ，美元走软，黄金作为风险规避的对冲工具的有效作用以及比特币等。
分析师表示：“金融市场的损失会重新激发投资者对黄金的兴趣。过高估值意味着系统性风险。”
分析师提醒投资者，持有实物黄金的风险和成本都很低，如果目前的过高估值出现回落的话，它将成为“一个便宜的保险”。
推动黄金上涨的另一个重要因素将会是美国不断增长的赤字，预计在特朗普的新税收法案下，赤字将进一步增加。
分析师说道：“在减税和假定未偿债务利率上升2%的情况下，我们认为，2018年和2019年，财政赤字增加3到4千亿美元，最终超过1万亿美元是很可能出现的。在这种情况下，美联储在压低利率方面将面临相当大的政治压力，最终将不得不放弃量化紧缩，并恢复到之前的量化宽松政策”。
“鲜为人知的雇员报酬的雇主成本(ECEC)在2017年第三季度上涨了4.4％，较2016年初的1.3％大幅上涨”。美联储对通胀上升做出反应时，很可能是“太晚以至于能做的不多了”，这将有利于黄金的走势。
此外，2018年黄金价格上涨的另一个积极推动因素是实物黄金需求的不断增加 ，美元走软，以及黄金作为风险规避的对冲工具的有效作用。
分析师认为，市场最终对包括美元在内的纸币失去信心是不可避免的，并且可能会比预期来的更早。所以在我们看来，现在是时候去接触黄金了。
“加密货币试图模仿黄金的一个关键属性：一种没有交易对手风险的流动资产。我们认为(加密货币)其实是黄金的盟友，对法定货币构成了威胁，并非人们常说的是黄金的威胁。”
比特币如此的受欢迎反映出全球人口对中央政府的不信任，比特币的区块链技术前景很好，特别是在黄金市场。
