稳步的雇佣活动、工资温和增长和零售商打折促销使得消费者持续增加开支。除汽车和汽油外的消费者支出增幅创下去年4月份来新高。
路透评论称，美国1月零售销售数据月度涨幅超出预期，主要受到家庭消费者购买电子产品以及各类商品的助推；电子产品的销售增幅录得自2015年6月以来最大，而建材、服装以及百货的销售状况均录得近一年来的最优表现。
良好的零售数据表明，美国持续利好的国内需求将在今年第一季度支撑经济增长。
