2016年全球黄金珠宝需求全面下滑
世界黄金协会(WGC)报告显示黄金珠宝需求2016年降至7年低点2041.6吨，同比下跌15%。
印度2016年黄金珠宝需求跌幅创纪录，同比下跌148.3吨至514吨。第一季度销售受到了珠宝商罢工的冲击，而后面三个季度依然不佳。黄金需求在废钞令发布后走高，不过由于货币流动性干涸而很快下降。
中国2016年需求同比下跌17%，光第四季度就下跌13%。十一黄金周未能点燃对黄金珠宝的热情，十二月销售则受到了供应紧张的问题。
其他亚洲国家的黄金需求也出现了下降，不过第四季度有所回升。越南2016年需求自从2012年以来首次下跌，同比减少0.2吨至15.4吨。日本需求上涨2%，不过部分被游客需求的下降抵消。
受到低油价作用，中东地区的需求下降16%至新低193.1吨。
美国需求下降1%至118.3吨。
欧洲保持平稳，英国和法国的需求下降最显著。英国下降3%至25.2吨，法国下降4%。
