周四(9月22日)，纽市盘中，美元指数继续受美联储决议打压震荡收低，周四美国经济数据好坏参半；欧元兑美元冲高回落最终小幅收升，美联储决议继续施压美元，支撑欧元兑美元；美联储维持利率不变缓解市场的升息压力，金价攀升一度突破1340关口至两周高位1343.48美元/盎司。
在美联储维持利率不变，并暗示仍可能在年底前收紧货币政策后，金价周三大涨1.7%。美元指数则跌至9月12日来最低，之后缩减跌幅。
金价对货币政策，尤其是美国的货币政策高度敏感，因升息会提升持有非孽息资产的机会成本，并提振贵金属计价货币美元。
周四美联储决议公布后的第一个交易日，根据CME Group的FedWatch工具，美国联邦基金利率期货走势暗示，交易商预计联储在12月会议上升息的几率约为58%，与周三持平。
