英镑反弹触及日内高位
周一（7月18日）英镑涨至日高，同时英国股市削减涨幅，此前即将卸任的英国央行货币政策委员会委员威尔表示，不确定自己是否会在下月的政策会议上支持降息。
与此形成鲜明对比的是，根据英国央行会议纪要，威尔的其他大多数同僚则认为可能将降息，因预计英国或许会在未来几季陷入衰退。
威尔表示，英国公投脱欧后并未见到消费者和企业爆发恐慌，并认为英国央行不应害怕让市场失望。威尔将在下月的会议之后卸任。
威尔发表讲话后，英镑/美元一度突破1.3292，日内汇价上涨0.7%，目前位于1.3275附近水平。与此同时，欧元兑英镑跌至日低0.83225，日内下跌0.6%。
日内英国股市富时100指数涨幅削减至0.2%，此前受到ARM大涨的拉动。日本软银和英国芯片(晶片)设计公司ARM Holdings周一称，软银已同意以243亿英镑(322亿美元)收购ARM。
上周五英国央行首席经济学家霍尔丹表示，央行需要拿出一套互相补充的货币宽松措施，以赶上8月4日的货币政策会议。
