欧洲央行(ECB)行长德拉基周一称，在欧洲央行本月稍早进一步放宽政策后，欧元区通胀将达到近2%的目标，“不会有不当延迟”。
德拉基指出，“在管理委员会本月稍早调整了工具之后，我们预计通胀将达到目标，不会有不当延迟。”
德拉基还表示，欧洲央行的货币政策为结构性复苏创造条件；如有必要，欧洲央行将加强刺激措施。
德拉基认为，货币政策的效力显示，欧洲央行拥有所有适当的工具；认为在欧洲央行职权范围内不存在对使用工具的限制。
欧洲央行执委会委员普雷特日内表示，“受欧洲央行管理委员会12月3日决定的措施影响，我们认为宽松环境有了显著改善。”
普雷特表示，“谈论新措施为时尚早。我们希望做好技术层面的准备以应对任何可能发生的状况。”
关于进一步下调存款利率的可能性，他认为，“我们对负利率的观点显然比过去更为开放。”
欧元近期的表现则令人刮目相看。在对美联储将于12月16日加息的预期促使投资者撤离大宗商品、股市和低评级债券之际，欧元本月内累计上涨3.8%，涨幅仅次于瑞郎。同被视为避险资产的日元上周创下三个月最大涨幅并维持涨势。周线级别中，欧元/美元已经连续两周收阳。日内，欧元/美元再度突破1.10关口，最高升至1.1027，欧元兑英镑则触及七周高位0.7280。
