英国工业联合会（CBI）周一（11月9日）下调英国明年经济增长预估，称国内需求弹性可能不足以盖过新兴市场放缓的影响。
CBI下调2015年经济增长预估至2.4%，2016年预估至2.6%，均较8月预估下调0.2个百分点，但仍略高于英国经济平均水平。
CBI主管John Cridland称：“制造商处境日益艰难，因为英镑持续走强打压出口竞争力。但国内需求强劲，我们目前整体处于稳定阶段且经济稳固增长。”
Visa Europe周一公布的其它数据显示，10月实际消费支出年率增长2.1%，为三个月来最快增速。
副主管Kevin Jenkins称：“展望未来，本月整体支出料将达到更高水平，因网上和实体店零售商正纷纷招徕顾客，在”黑色星期五”完成更多更大的交易。”
CBI周一晚些时候将召开年度会议，届时Cridland将敦促政府在削减预算时不要减少企业创新支出，同时保护英国金融业免受欧盟（EU）过多监管的束缚。
该商业团体亦关注技工短缺的问题，英国失业率已经跌向经济危机前的水平。
不过，人力资源专业机构英国特许人事发展协会（CIPD）的季度报告显示，对技工短缺规模表示怀疑，称技工短缺现象仅限于几个领域。
CIPD表示，薪资通胀明年不太可能上涨，因为技工短缺现象有限且雇主支付结算预估低迷。只有15%的职位空缺难以填补，未来12个月，雇主提高基本薪资平均水平可能仅为2%。
英国央行（BOE）上周下调英国经济增长预估，因海外需求疲软，但预测明年薪资将上涨3.75%左右。
