英国国家统计局公布的英国第三季度GDP不及预期，其中季率三个月来首次下滑，年率英第三季GDP年率创2年来最低。数据公布后，英镑兑美元短线急跌30多点，一度逼近1.5300关口。
具体数据显示：英国三季度GDP初值环比+0.5%，预期+0.6%，前值+0.7%。 英国三季度GDP初值同比+2.3%，预期+2.4%，前值+2.4%。
英国国家统计局表示，建筑数据令英国第三季度GDP承压，但企业服务和运输增长对经济增速作出了巨大贡献。第三季度服务业产出较前季度增长0.7%，增幅为2014年第四季度以来最大。
但英国第三季度GDP初值增幅为2013年第三季以来最低。
相对于其他货币，因加息预期，英镑走势一直比较坚挺。但经济数据表现不佳，一定程度上削弱了加息前景。如果美联储年内加息，英镑走势也不乐观。
