美联储周三公布的3月FOMC会议纪要显示，美联储决策者在会上就6月是否首次加息的问题上存在意见分歧。一些官员认为6月加息是可能的时间，但其他官员鉴于美元汇率和油价倾向于在2015年晚些时候首次加息。
周三(4月8日)受到美联储会议纪要的影响，金价一度跌破1200美元/盎司的心理关口，不过此后重新回升到该水平上方。周四亚盘开后，金价在1202美元/盎司附近波动。 会议纪要公布后，美元指数收复所有跌幅，短线上涨40点，且突破98大关；国际现货黄金跌破1200美元，刷新1197美元/盎司日低。
会议纪要显示，几乎所有官员都同意在三月会议纪要上去除耐心措辞，剔除“耐心”的措辞为日后会议调整利率提供灵活度，但不意味首次加息时点，加息时间并没有简单的信号。
在利率方面，会议纪要显示，鉴于美元汇率和油价的影响，决策者倾向于在2015年晚些时候首次加息。几位官员倾向于2016年加息，部分官员建议在2016年之前保持利率不变。
加拿大蒙特利尔银行资本市场(BMO Capital Markets)的贵金属交易主管Tai Wong表示：“美联储会议纪要比预期的要更鹰派一些。贵金属的前景比较不好，黄金和白银价格因为非农受到的推动已经被尽数回吐。”
在美联储会议纪要公布后，美元走高，美国股指也纷纷走高。
纽约联储主席杜德利周三表示，他相信美联储2015年加息是合理的，如果通胀和就业继续改善，今年6月加息仍有可能。美联储理事鲍威尔周三称，他预计经济将支持2015年稍后时期的加息，将关注当前的和6月的数据表现来决定加息是否是适宜的，美联储可能会在达到通胀目标和就业目标之前开始加息。
FOMC3月会议纪要公布前，美联储理事鲍威尔(Jerome Powel)周三早些时候表示，美联储不必等到核心通胀加速上升后才加息，只要美联储对通胀将在两、三年里升至2%有相当的信心就可以。
实物黄金需求方面，中国市场的金价升水低，表明了实物需求的疲软。
Phillip Futures的投资分析师Howie Lee称：“中国人投资的途径不止黄金，股市在上涨还有债券可买，我不觉得限制人们有理由买黄金。”
