据官员们称，希腊与债权人周二(8月11日)经过彻夜谈判，终于达成一项救助协议。这令人寄望援助款项能够及时拨发，使希腊偿还一笔即将到期的重要债务。
这次谈判从周一下午开始，历时23个小时，疲惫不堪的希腊官员走出位于雅典中部的一家酒店，宣布双方就救助协议的细节已经达成一致，目前还剩下几个次要问题需要理清。
协议预计涉及最多860亿欧元(947.5亿美元)新贷款，不过目前还没有确认贷款规模。
希腊官员曾表示，上述协议周三或周四由议会审批，周五再接受欧元区财长们的审查，这将有望为希腊在8月20日前偿还欧央行32亿欧元铺平道路。
协议的达成将为希腊艰苦的援助谈判画上句号。希腊今年用了不少时间来抵制债权人提出的撙节条件，在可能被踢出欧元区的警示之下才不得不做出让步。但目前德国的疑虑普遍未消，自2010年以来在对希腊的两次援助中，德国提供的救济最多，而且现下还要继续救济希腊。
