据《金融时报》报导，国际货币基金组织(IMF)在希腊达成全面改革协议前不会正式参与同希腊的救助磋商后，欧元遭遇进一步抛压。
《金融时报》援引机密摘要备忘录报导，IMF的董事会在周三的会议上被告知，希腊的债务水平和实施改革的记录使得希腊不符合第三轮IMF援助贷款计划的资格。
报告并显示，IMF将参与当前的援助贷款计划谈判；可能在明年前不会决定是否同意新的计划。
在上述报导出炉后，欧元/美元应声下滑，最低一度触及一周低点1.0893。
在希腊政府与债权人长达六个月的讨论谈判中，如何缓解希腊债务负担一直都是双方僵持的核心，希腊甚至走到了退出欧元区的边缘。虽然IMF明确表示，支持让债务重组成为希腊援助方案的一部分，但以德国为首的欧洲债权人却并不愿意。
