在经历5年的爆炸式增长后，中国经济增长正在冷却。中国第一季度经济增速跌至自2009年以来的最低水平。
中国是全球第二大经济体。市场担忧中国经济增速放缓会拖累全球其他主要经济体，包括美国。考虑到目前全球经济增长缓慢，而各国政府的武器库中可用武器所剩无几，这种情况可能更加危险。
Ameriprise金融首席策略师David Joy表示，我们需要全球经济继续增长，中国增速的放缓对此没有任何帮助。
中国股市在6月末7月初的暴跌让投资者目前行事谨慎。虽然中国股市目前暂时稳定，但是这在投资者造成了恐慌，使得原油、黄金和铜的价格也出现大跌。
以下是中国经济放缓会影响到美国经济的主要方式：
1，贸易下滑：两国的贸易往来是中美之间最直接的联系。根据State Street Global预测，未来两年，中美之间的贸易将超过美国和加拿大的双边贸易，成为全球最大的双边贸易关系。
2，美国商业遭受打击：美国股市对于中国的风险敞口正在扩大。因为40%的标准普尔500指数公司的利润都是来自海外。
中国经济增速的加速下滑将会很自然地损害了跨国公司的利润。仅仅上周，联合技术公司(NYSE:UTX)下调了其2015年全年盈利预期，并将下调预期的原因归咎于中国。联合技术公司表示上一季度中国的新设备业务就大跌10%。
上周，因市场对亚洲经济增速放缓的担忧，美国股市大幅下跌。道琼斯工业指数[-4.34%]录得自1月以来最大一周跌幅，下跌近3%。
另一个关键问题是看美联储是否会因为中国因素而延缓上调利率。按照目前的情况可能性不大，但是美联储可能会在周三的联邦市场公开会议纪要中给出新的加息线索。
3、金融危机：中国经济增长动力部分来自于债务规模的扩大。但是现在经济增速放缓，市场担心有毒贷款可能会引发金融危机，并蔓延到全球范围。正如2008年美国次贷危机那样。
