本日欧元区将就希腊问题召开紧急峰会之前的欧元区财长会议，德国总理默克尔和法国总统奥朗德均指出希腊方面需要迅速采取行动，拿出可信提议以重启谈判。
IMF主席拉加德周一与希腊总理齐普拉斯进行了会谈，拉加德称如果需要将向希腊提供技术性援助。
德国总理默克尔称，希望希腊留在欧元区；如果每个国家都承担责任，欧洲将会更加团结一致。
尽管IMF主席拉加德和德国总理默克尔的言论稍缓解了市场的紧张情绪，不过周二的议会前景并不乐观，多位欧元区官员对此表达了相对悲观的看法。
欧洲央行管委诺沃特尼称，与希腊达成协议的可能性不是非常高，或将讨论在不提供新援助计划的情况下为希腊进行融资的问题。
西班牙首相拉霍伊称，在援助公投后，希腊问题更加恶化。希腊总理齐普拉斯需要实施像葡萄牙、爱尔兰和西班牙类似的改革。
荷兰首相吕特指出，如果希腊不接受进行深入改革，那么“一切都将结束”，如果希望留在欧元区，希腊必须在今晚作出决定。
而新任的希腊财长察卡洛托斯也并没有表现出立场软化的迹象。察卡洛托斯称，希腊民众将不会接受不可持续的方案，希腊民众顶住了压力，希腊公投将会记入经济史中。希腊前财长瓦鲁法基斯称，与将要接任财长一职的察卡洛托斯拥有共同的意识形态。
