全球最大的黄金ETF·SPDR黄金ETF的持有量在周三(6月10日)继续流出，总持有量跌至704.22吨，是2008年9月以来的最低水平。自2013年金价大跌以来，黄金ETF就一直呈流出状态，今年年初SPDR黄金ETF曾一度有过流入，但随着金价的回落，自3月以来一直处在持续流出的状态中。
6月第一周黄金ETF流出差不多9.5吨。这已经是连续第五周的流出，并且总计流出多达35吨。目前黄金ETF的总持有量已经跌至1592吨，比去年同期少了差不多120吨。年初ETF市场曾经有过流入，1月的流入量甚至达到了60吨，但自3月中旬金价走低以来，黄金市场的信心被抹去，ETF开始持续流出。去年黄金ETF流出了159吨，比起2013年的880吨已算很大改善。2012年黄金ETF一度触及2632吨的历史记录。
汇丰银行的分析师们也指出，黄金所承受的压力不仅来自美联储升息的预期和美元的强劲表现，实物需求没能对低迷金价做出反应也同样使得黄金承压。汇丰银行分析师并表示，“这使得西方投资者们做空黄金。”
