据路透社报道，市场预计英国央行仅会缓慢加息，这可能促使英国央行上调对两年后的通胀预期。该行2月时表示，两年后的通胀率可能略低于2%的目标水平。
市场4月时预计，英国直到2016年9月才会升息，而且在此之后利率也仅会缓慢上升。现在，市场预计英国将在大约一年后加息。分析师认为加息时间可能略早。
市场屡次被英央行打得措手不及。近一年前，英国央行警告称，市场低估了加息的可能性，这导致英镑飙升。但随后油价下跌，减轻了央行抗击通胀的压力。
今年前三个月英国经济仅增长0.3%，较为疲弱，这加大了英国央行下调今年经济增幅预估的可能性，但不太可能会影响到该央行对2016年经济增幅的预估。英国央行预计英国今明两年的经济增幅都为2.9%。
分析师还认为，由于2015年初薪资涨幅低迷，英国央行今年稍晚可能会下调对全年薪资涨幅的预期。该央行原本预计今年薪资将增长3.5%。
