据彭博社周五(4月24日)公布的最新调查显示，因预期美国经济数据将支持美联储加息，黄金交易员、分析师看跌下周金价。在接受调查的20位黄金交易商及分析师中，5人看涨（25.0%），11人看空（55.0%），4人看平（20.0%）。
国际现货黄金周五（4月24日）触及五周低点，接受Kitco调查的多数人士认为，下周金价将进一步下跌。
接受调查Kitco在线调查的514位大众投资者中，153人（30.0%）看涨，263人（51.0%）看跌，98人（19.0%）看平。接受调查的32位市场专业人士中，20位作出了回复，其中6人（30.0%）看涨，6人（30.0%）看跌，8人（40.0%）看平。市场人士包括黄金交易员，投资银行和期货交易员，以及技术分析师。
尽管接受Kitco调查的多数人士看跌下周金价，仍有一部分人认为金价可能从低点反弹。Kitco评论员Peter Degraaf通过在线调查投票看涨下周金价。他表示，历史上看，黄金需求在4月和5月很强劲，这可能支撑金价。他表示，疲软的美元和美国商品期货交易委员会（CFTC）公布的持仓数据短期提振金价，“美元在连续9个月上涨后，表现出了疲软的迹象。通过CFTC公布的数据可以发现，黄金在未来2-4周仍有上涨空间。”
但是，一些市场专家指出，黄金本周忽略美元走软，大幅下跌，这恐怕对金价不利。Morrison on the Markets的Ken Morrison表示，“黄金上周保持盘整，但美元走软，金价没有上涨，他们之间的负相关关系被打破了。黄金近期下跌阻力最小。”
