希腊国防部长卡门诺斯(Panos Kammenos)在周六刊出的德国画报专访中表示，如果希腊退出欧元区，西班牙和意大利最终也会退出。
“如果希腊崩溃了，西班牙和意大利将是下一个，接着在某个时候，就是德国了。因此我们需要在欧元区找到出路，但这个出路不能是希腊人持续偿债，”他表示。
但他也表示，希腊并不需要第三次纾困，而是要像德国在1953年伦敦债务会议上那样债务减记。
卡门诺斯并建议，希腊将停止把“被迫”退出欧元区的可能性当成庇护手段。
他并称，希腊因欧盟对俄罗斯的制裁而损失了大量的金钱，因此希腊需要向欧盟求偿。“否则的话，我们不能也不会想到参与制裁俄罗斯，因为这只会损及我们的经济。”
