对于此前有媒体报道称，若欧元区各国拒绝接受希腊提交的债务偿还方案和改革计划，希腊可能举行全民公投或提前大选，希腊财长瓦鲁法基斯在周一会后的新闻发布会上断然否认，称那纯属误传，但对于希腊现时的财政状况，提及资金流动剩余的相关问题，瓦鲁法基斯声明希腊债务偿还能力会由希腊政府和债权国及组织（IMF）予以保证，对于具体计划则三缄其口，表现出避重就轻的回答态度。
