【基本面】
美联储副主席耶伦在为周四听证会准备的证词中说，当前联储非常规的货币政策，是令经济复苏的最好方式。她高度肯定了伯南克在应对危机中做出的贡献。耶伦认为，当前美国7.3%的失业率仍然太高，经济和劳动力市场的表现不佳，远没有发挥出应有的潜能。预计未来通胀水平依然很低，难以达到联储2%的目标水平。
美国联邦政府预算赤字在新财年第一个月同比收窄至915.9亿美元，在国会试图确定2014财年支出水平的时候，这一数据提醒外界美国的财政状况正在好转。
美国能源情报署周三表示，10月份美国原油产量超过进口量，为1995年年初以来首次，这标志着美国开始减少对外国原油供应的依赖。
欧盟统计局周三公布，欧元区17个成员国9月份工业产值较8月份下降0.5%，在一定程度上逆转了8月份环比增长1.0%的良好势头。
欧洲央行执委会委员、首席经济学家Praet表示，如果有需要提振通胀，使其逼近目标水平，负存款利率和资产购买是欧洲央行的选项，欧洲央行准备使用一切工具维持物价稳定。
英国国家统计局周三公布，7-9月份失业率从6-8月份的7.7%降至7.6%，与经济学家预期一致，并创下2009年2-4月份以来的最低水平。不过当期收入增长依然缓慢，增幅仅为0.8%，与6-8月份触及的纪录低点相一致。
英国央行官员周三表示，该行或许会考虑最早在2015年第三季度加息，比之前的预期早了九个月。该行官员称，随着经济复苏步伐加快，英国国内需求转好，意味着失业率的下降速度应该会快于央行三个月前的预期，较有可能在2015年第三季度降到7%的重要门坎。
【技术分析】
日图显示，金价前天跌破布尔带下轨与支持线组成的结合支撑（1270），然而昨日黄金没有进一步下行，而是反弹再次站上布尔带下轨和支撑线，后续黄金是将站稳支撑反弹还是稍作修正后继续下行不甚明朗，因此大田金业建议投资者维持观望。若日内收涨于1270上方或可能意味站稳支撑反弹，而若继续收跌则可能继续下行。
