交易保证金率，又称作交易保证金比例，指的是投资者支付给证券公司，或者金融中介机构，又或是代办证券或现货及期货业务的银行的保证金占有该投资者拥有该仓位大小的比率。
以贵金属现货交易而言，一般交易保证金率越低，其拥有的杠杆效应则越大，交易保证金率主要用于控制投资者初始资金的放大倍数，投资者每进行一笔新的贵金属交易、其交易交付的保证金都要满足保证金比例。一般保证金比例是在15%-20%之间。
