大田金業讲故事：魔鬼交易员鲁斯纳克
鲁斯纳克供职于爱尔兰最大的银行爱尔兰联合银行在美国开设的分行——全冠银行，职位不高也不低，年薪85000美元。他长着一副地道的美国白人面孔，热爱家庭，积极参与社区建设，准时协妻带子上教堂，有着非常不错的口碑。可是就是这位模范公民，一手建造了后来震惊世界的“爱尔兰联合银行诈骗案”，并最终锒铛入狱。
鲁斯纳克在全冠银行的工作是外汇交易员，其职责是通过低买高卖货币来获利。银行对于外汇交易都有明确的规定以控制风险，但鲁斯纳克并未遵守这些准则。
2001年下半年日元疲弱时，鲁斯纳克认为其不久就能对欧元出现反转，所以大量买入日元以期获利，过于自信的他却并未买入认沽权证以规定风险。结果却让鲁斯纳克大失所望：日元不但没有升值反而持续贬值，面对着银行损失数字的不断增大，鲁斯纳克开始为自己寻找退路，最后他只得通过修改账目来伪造造假的权证交易信息，全冠银行的监管人员既然没有发现异常，这让鲁斯纳克松了口气。
实际早已在1997年时鲁斯纳克就开始给银行造成损失了，他利用此类方法在5年中一直隐瞒实情。同时，为了尽快弥补损失，鲁斯纳克还想了个“好办法”，他私自利用全冠银行的名义向其他金融机构出售期权，结果却诱发了更大的损失。而这些期权的交易信息同样被鲁斯纳克通过利用该银行交易监控系统的漏洞来隐匿，银行管理人员在这5年时间里从未发现和采取措施加以制止。
2002年1月，全冠银行对其资产部例行审核。鲁斯纳克没有“审时度势”。他一个鲁莽的举动将他推上了绝路，就在银行进行资产审核时他要求银行中心提供巨额资金支持，这引起高级经理的怀疑，并对此开展了调查。鲁斯纳克马上提供了12张伪造的凭证来支持那些交易，企图掩盖罪行，但这些凭证还是被证明是伪造的。
此时，相关部门开始要求尽可能终止鲁斯纳克的交易，以调查鲁斯纳克交易中存在的问题。最终的调查结果令全冠银行膛目结舌：鲁斯纳克已造成全冠银行高达7.5亿美元的损失。这个数字令人震惊！在4个多月的调查中，办案人员又惊讶的发现，鲁斯纳克进行欺诈的目的并不是要中饱私囊，而是为了换取公司的赏识和升迁机会。
鲁斯纳克真不愧为“魔鬼交易员”这一“荣誉”称号。
