在不同的盈亏状态中。止损的目的是为了减少损失，保住利润。因此止损位的设置必须围绕市场价格和盈亏状态合理调整。
如果进场打平手，那么可以将成本价下跌多少作为止损位。如果一进场就处于赢利状态，则立即提高止损位，将当日最高价向下跌多少作为止损位。以后随着利润的上升，逐步修改止损位。
如此则可以保证亏损最少化，伦敦金套利最大化，在风险莫测的黄金市场做到步步为“赢”的境地。
