USGS:美国黄金产量减少 因价格下跌

美国地质调查局（USGS）发布2014年矿产品报告称，2013年美国矿产品产值共743亿美元，较2012年的758亿美元有所减少，此为连续三年出现增长之后的首度下跌。2013年，矿物原料和旧废料净出口为美国经济贡献158亿美元。USGS指出，2013年，所有矿产，包括出口和回收的原料总共产值901亿美元，比2013年包括亚马逊、脸书、谷歌和雅虎等网络巨头们合计利润的五倍还多，显示矿业资源对国家经济、技术和安全的重要程度。2013年，美国金属矿产产值约320亿美元，比前一年减少8%，黄金占其中的32%，铜占29%，铁矿石占17%，钼占10%，锌占5%。 2013年工业矿产产值则是年增3%至423亿美元，主要的增长来自碎石（28%）、水泥（16%）与建筑用砂石（16%）。
USGS表示，2013年矿产产值减少并非由于产量下降，除了美国黄金产量减少了3%之外，大部分矿产品的产量非常稳定，因此产值减少主要是因为价格的下跌。
