经济咨商理事会(The Conference Board)23日公布，12月领先指标月增0.1%至99.4(2004年基期=100)，虽然稍低于路透社调查预估的月增0.2%，不过，11月增率则由0.8%上修至1%。经济咨商理事会总体经济分析主任Ataman Ozyildirim指出，领先指标是被金融面的贡献所拱高，但是消费者信心以及住宅类营建仍对景气造成下方风险。当月同步指标上扬0.2%(前月增0.4%)至108.1。同步指针组成项目包含就业、薪资、产出、销售等，是衡量景气转折的参考依据。
另外，确认景气循环的落后指标月增0.至121.2(前月增0.3%)。构成落后指针的因子有，每单位输出的劳动成本、平均主要利率、平均失业时间、销货/库存比率与服务业消费者物价指数等。
