巴基斯坦黄金进口量年增841%

巴基斯坦统计局公布的数据显示，自7月起的2013/14财年前两个月，黄金进口量年增841%达到3,265公斤，进口额达1.3562亿美元；去年同期的进口额则仅1,880万美元，进口量为347公斤。数据显示，8月份黄金进口量仅16公斤，主要因为政府在前月进口大增之后暂停进口的影响。巴基斯坦7月份的黄金进口量为3,249公斤，与去年同期的199公斤相比大增15倍。截至6月底止的2012/13财年，巴基斯坦的黄金进口量较上年度的3,267公斤倍增至6,745公斤，黄金进口额达到3.46亿美元。
《MINEWEB》分析报导称，巴基斯坦黄金进口大增部分是因为邻国印度提高黄金进口关税并限制黄金进口的影响，巴基斯坦自2001年起即可以免税进口黄金，希望藉此提高金饰加工的出口。巴基斯坦经济统筹委员会此前指出，该国免税进口黄金的鼓励政策已经遭到滥用，有许多黄金进口并非源于国内的实际需求，而是被走私到印度。巴基斯坦政府也因此在7月31日宣布暂停进口黄金一个月的时间。
9月9日报导，巴基斯坦政府解除了实施一个月的黄金进口禁令，并推出新的进口规范，不过新规并不溯及既往。新规将金饰加工再出口的最低加值要求由原先的4-9%提高至8-9%，金饰加工再出口的时间则由180天缩减至120天。
印度珠宝首饰出口促进委员会（GJEPC）表示，印度9月份的黄金进口量已经较前月的3.38公吨倍增至7.24公吨，该会并预计10月份黄金进口量将达到30公吨，主要因为印度央行厘清黄金进口的限制规定，搁置在机场的进口黄金得以放行的影响。GJEPC也表示，9月份印度黄金进口均是来自于特别经济区，国内其他地区的黄金进口自7月22日央行宣布新的黄金进口限制措施以来已经基本停滞。该会也预计2014财年印度的黄金进口量将降至800公吨以下。
