11月25日，由于感恩节假期原因，众多美国数据集中在周三公布，在一系列经济数据中心，美国三季度GDP数据符合市场预期，10月耐用品订单超出预期，初请失业金人数高于预期，在数据公布后。现货黄金稍微上涨。
对于美国经济当前的现状，知名投行高盛下调美国四季度和明年一季度GDP预期。高盛周一下调了今年四季度和明年一季度美国经济增长预期，因新冠疫情迅速和广泛的复燃。高盛将四季度美国GDP增长预期从此前的4.5%下调至3.5%，并将明年一季度增长预期从此前的3.5%下调至1%。
此外，美联储主席鲍威尔指出，美国经济目前面临的主要风险之一为病毒感染率的再次上升可能会再次严重限制经济活动。鲍威尔认为，随着疫情的持续蔓延，美国经济复苏明显减慢，如果想要将风险降低，所有人需要遵循医学专家的指导，正确使用口罩，保持安全社交距离。
经济学家们指出，我们敦促政策制定者使用他们掌握的所有工具来重振经济，包括直接发放现金，这是让家庭和经济重回正轨最快、最公平、最有效的方式之一。除非决策者迅速采取必要的行动应对危机，否则我们面临的经济破坏持续期可能拉长，尤其是对那些遭受了最严重打击的底层人来说。
虽然就业岗位继续增长，但是自5月和6月以来增长步伐明显放缓。根据美国劳工部发布的数据，5月和6月新增工作岗位多达750万个。然而，到了10月，新增就业岗位减少至63.8万个，已是就业增长连续第四个月减速。与新冠疫情危机开始前相比，美国失业人口仍增加了大约1010万。
分析师表示，应该指出的是，美国的就业创造水平正在放缓，再加上初请失业金人数也在触底，表明劳动力市场复苏开始变得更加不均衡，部分原因可能是新冠肺炎确诊病例数再次激增以及相关的防疫举措。
