2月10日，現貨黃金連續走高，但當前的反彈勢頭正在逐漸減弱，主要原因是美元指數徘徊在近四個月的高位，限制了黃金的反彈，同時較好的非農資料也讓市場隊美國經濟發展保持樂觀，通過中國企業的春節假期後復工，限制了避險勢力的擴張。
與此同時，有跡象顯示公共衛生事件影響力可控，一些中國大企業春節假期過後復工，也限制了避險勢力擴張。不過美國暫緩對歐盟汽車徵稅，削弱了投資者持有美元的積極性。
中國商務部辦公廳10日發佈通知，要求，各地商務主管部門要積極幫助外資企業有序恢復正常生產經營，深入瞭解企業用工需求，充分利用網路平臺等方式促進勞動力供需對接，加大企業複產用工保障力度。協調幫助解決外資企業複產存在的困難，妥善處理外資企業投訴。
中國商務部發言人高峰週一在網上新聞發佈會表示，近日，我們下發通知，指導各地加強對外資企業的服務和保障，同時優化創新招商引資工作，繼續推動外資大專案落地。從總體上看，我國吸收外資的綜合競爭優勢沒有改變。
鑒於鮑威爾及聯儲其他官員在最近的措辭中保持一致，均表示不急於重啟調整利率，認為經濟處於“良好狀態”，所以在鮑威爾本周發表證詞時，有可能引發爭論的一個話題就是“回購市場”。
鮑威爾週三(2月12日)將面向參議院金融委員會發表證詞，該委員會一些民主黨人已經就去年秋季回購協議市場的動盪向鮑威爾發出一連串問題。當時回購市場的資金緊張導致隔夜回購利率飆升至10%，迫使美聯儲約五年來首次恢復積極的購債業務，從那以來已購買逾3000億美元國庫券。
決策者認為回購市場的動盪，是因為美聯儲縮表近兩年來使銀行儲備金降得太低導致。儲備金水準已再度上升，但何為適宜水準幾乎仍是一大未知數，鮑威爾會被施壓對此給出答案。
儘管美國政府的調查顯示，部分進口汽車及零部件“削弱了國內經濟”並可能損害國家安全，但美國對歐洲汽車業徵稅必將招致歐方報復。
美國就業市場出現自2009年以來最大的12個月就業崗位增幅下修，表明勞動力市場並沒有總統特朗普鼓吹的那樣強勁，美國對歐洲汽車徵稅存在投鼠忌器的心裡，利好非美資產，美元漲勢受到牽制。
