美國9月數據不及預期，金價稍微上漲

10月31日，美國公佈了一系列重要數據，其中市場比較關注的美國9月PCE物價指數表現不及預期，同時美國9月個人支出也不及預期；而美國初請失業金人數基本符合預期，而金價則出現了短暫的上漲。
具體數據顯示，美國9月PCE物價指數年率實際公佈實際公佈1.3%，預期1.4%，前值1.4%；美國9月核心PCE物價指數年率實際公佈1.7%，預期1.7%，前值1.8%。
美國9月核心PCE物價指數指出，美國消費者支出無顯著上升，可能會在為商業信心下行的背景下為消費者刺激經濟上行蒙上一層陰影。雖然消費者支出低失業率的支撐，但商業投資已經連續兩個季度出現收縮，可能會對勞動力市場產生溢出效應，並將抑制消費者支出。
對於美國的通脹前景，週四，美聯儲主席鮑威爾在宣佈降息後的新聞發佈會上指出，現在我們只觸及了2%的核心通脹率。僅幾個月後，核心通脹率又下降了。我認為，我們需要看到通脹出現持續的大幅上升，然後才會考慮加息。”
美國至10月26日當周初請失業金人數指出，美國上周初請失業金人數增幅略高於預期，但初請失業金人數的趨勢與強勁的就業市場狀況保持一致。儘管初請失業金人數處於較低水準暗示就業市場穩固，但由於通用汽車工人罷工40天，美國10月的就業增長預計將大幅放緩。
加拿大央行將第三季度GDP預測從7月份的1.5%下調至1.3%，由於貿易不確定性、能源部門持續調整以及推動第二季度經濟增長的臨時因素的消除，加拿大下半年經濟增長預計將放緩至低於潛力水準。
今年全球經濟增長預計將放緩至3%以下（這是自2007-2009年金融危機以來的最低增速）接下來兩年將逐漸回升，貿易風險是雙向的，但傾向於是下行風險。但如果不採取貨幣政策措施，到2021年底，關稅和貿易不確定性將使全球GDP下降約1.3% (7月估計為0.8%) 。
