9月19日，现货黄金低位回升，因美联储降息基本被市场消化，市场焦点重新转移到各国央行降息、全球贸易局势以及英国脱欧前景问题。这些因素是推动金价持续走高的因素，给金价带来一定的支撑。
美联储周三决议之后，点阵图上来看美联储年内继续降息渺茫，但市场分析师和交易员却认为，美联储年内似乎还有一次25基点的降息。
分析师称，“我们认为年内接下来至少还会有一次降息。制造业颇受伤害，考虑到旷日持久的贸易摩擦，厄运难逃几已成为定局。”
策略师表示，与今年七月底美联储会议传达出的信号相似，美联储官员认为当前就业市场和消费在支撑美国经济发展，但全球经济以及美国企业投资的前景仍是忧虑所在。虽有两位美联储官员希望维持现有利率不变，且点阵图显示美联储年内将不再降息，但他认为市场还需要更多时间接受这一鹰派结果。
美联储周三批准了一项备受期待措施，将基准利率下调25个基点，至1.75%至2%的目标区间，这是该行今年第二次降息，但几乎没有迹象表明未来还会进一步降息。

美联储内部分歧严重，据报道，美联储5名官员建议维持现有利率，5名官员建议下调25个基点，另有7名官员建议年内下调50个基点，暗示可能会继续降息。
在美联储决议之后，市场的焦点从决议中转移，可能会转移到其他央行的鸽派前景，中东局势，全球贸易局势，英国脱欧等问题上，而这些新的炒作焦点都有望给金价带来支撑。
美联储官员还发布了新的季度预测，预计基准利率中位数在降息后，将在1.9%左右保持稳定，并持续到2020年底，随后在2021年升至2.1%。今年底美国失业率将达到3.7%，较6月上升10%，长期失业率预估维持在4.2%。与会者预测2021年前不会达到2%的通胀目标。
由于对两国政府可能日益对立心生警惕，韩国现代汽车正在增加从日本进口零部件的库存，此外日本零部件企业也在准备提前从韩国进口产品。日本从7月开始强化对韩出口管制，其影响正在波及汽车零部件供应网络。
