美国零售数据不佳，但黄金仍下挫

9月14日，美国公布的零售数据不及预期，导致美元指数有所下跌，但因为投资者周末调仓，贸易战有所缓和，美元指数转跌为涨，现货黄金短线一度上涨2美元，但随后下跌。
美国进口价格跌幅为2016年1月以来最大。具体数据表明显示，美国8月进口物价指数月率下跌0.6%，超出此前市场预期的下跌0.2%，前值为下跌0.1%；而8月进口物价指数年率仅为3.7%，不及预期的4.1%及前值的4.9%。
与此同时，因消费者减少汽车和服饰购买，美国8月零售销售月率录得六个月以来最小增幅。 数据显示，美国8月零售销售月率仅增长0.1%，此前市场预期为增长0.4%，前值为0.7%；而核心零售销售月率增幅为0.3%，也不及预期的增幅0.5%，前值为0.9%。
此外，7月数据出现上修，预计第三季度经济仍将保持强劲增速。但因中美贸易摩擦升级，预计长期增长前景将蒙上阴影。
美联储卡普兰发言称通胀率不会偏离轨道，美国消费非常强劲，美联储应当逐步有耐心的加息。卡普兰预计飓风将对经济造成暂时性影响，并表示最终GDP将回到应有水平。卡普兰仍旧预计2018年经济增长3%，但认为2019年将略放缓，经济刺激的影响将在2019年、2020年开始出现消退。
