“美国非农就业数据表现非常好，金价因此受抑，”分析师称，“全球其他地缘政治不确定性不多，并无极端性事件，因此避险情绪减弱，金价缺乏利好因素支撑。”
亚洲股市周一上涨，尾随美股涨势，在此同时美元回软，但仍保住此前多数涨幅；此前美元受到7月就业数据优于预期、以及美国税改计划承诺等因素激励而上涨。税改将协助企业汇回获利。
美元走强令黄金对其他货币持有者来讲显得更昂贵，而利率升高导致债券收益率上涨，打压对非生息资产黄金的需求。
美国雇主7月新增就业岗位超过预期，并提高员工薪资，这是劳动力市场供应紧张的迹象，可能为美联储宣布其开始缩减庞大资产负债的计划扫清道路。
“市场对美联储再次升息的押注略有升高，投资者很快结清一些多仓，”澳新银行报告称，“不过跌势有限，表明投资者并不完全确信。”
第一道支撑是下行c浪的100%费波纳奇预测位，c浪是始于8月1日高点1273.97美元的三浪周期中的第三浪。
