2月15日讯， 日本经济去年第四季按环比年率萎缩1.4%，因消费支出下滑。决策者担心金融市场动荡可能损及脆弱的复苏，该数据令其更加头痛。
该数据凸显首相安倍晋三在帮助经济摆脱停滞问题上所面临的挑战。对新兴市场的出口势头不够强劲，难以弥补内需疲弱的影响。
分析师表示，市场臆测当局会采取更多的宽松措施，在上月对金融机构存放在央行的部分存款采取负利率之后，日本央行的政策弹药似乎正在枯竭。
日本内阁府周一公布的数据显示，第四季国内生产总值(GDP)萎缩程度大于市场预期的1.2%，第三季修正为增长1.3%。萎缩幅度追平去年4-6月当季。
占GDP比重达60%的民间消费下降0.8%，降幅大于市场预估中值0.6%，显示安倍的刺激政策迄今还未能促使家庭增加支出。
不过，让决策者见到一丝希望的是，资本支出增长1.4%，优于市场预期的下降0.2%。
内部需求因素将GDP增幅削去0.5个百分点，但外部需求(或者说净出口)令GDP增幅提高0.1个百分点，因油价下跌导致进口额下降。
上月日本央行意外实施负利率，再度以大胆举措刺激经济，因市场动荡威胁到其战胜通缩的努力。
