亚太地区股市周五(1月8日)反弹，中国宣布暂停实施熔断机制，而人民币兑美元中间价9个交易日来首次调升，促使受创的中国股市强劲反弹。
亚太股市恐录得4个多月来最大单周跌幅，但周五的涨势似将缓解笼罩全球市场的忧虑情绪。
沪深300指数涨2.7%，沪指升2.4%。这两个指数本周跌幅也随之缩减至不到10%。中国股市上涨也支撑MSCI明晟亚太地区(除日本)指数抹去稍早跌幅，转为上扬0.6%，不过本周或跌约6%，成为8月以来最大单周跌幅。
周四晚间，沪深证交所等宣布自周五起暂停熔断机制的实施。证监会新闻发言人邓舸表示，从本周两次实际熔断情况看，没有达到预期效果，而熔断机制又有一定“磁吸效应”，起了助跌的作用。权衡利弊，目前负面影响大于正面效应。因此，为维护市场稳定，证监会决定暂停熔断机制。
人民币兑美元中间价上扬，也帮助安抚市场。
日本股市方面，日经指数周五在震荡交投中上涨，为5天来首次，之前中国央行提高人民币中间价，中国股市反弹，缓解了全球市场的部分压力。
日经225指数早盘收涨0.8%，至17,836.90点，稍早低见17,509.64点，为10月1日以来低点。东证股价指数涨0.3%，至1,462.91点。日经指数本周已累计下跌6.0%，受一系列负面因素打击，包括人民币贬值、中国股市下挫、中东局势升级以及朝鲜核试验等。
不过迅销(Fast Retailing)逆势重挫4.1%，限制日经指数涨势，之前该公司调降全年财测。
交易商指出，随着日经指数降至颇具吸引力的水平，散户和养老基金等可能会逢低买进，支撑市场。
人民币中间价上升后日元兑美元转而下跌，日本出口类股走强。
中国市场方面，沪深两市大幅高开，然而一开盘即迅速回落跳水，沪指盘中从涨3%下挫翻绿至跌2%，创业板一度跌至5%；两市触底后大幅反弹，快速走高，午前金融股接力拉升，沪指欲冲3200点关口。
沪指早收盘报3199.56点，涨74.56点，涨2.39%；深指报10973.12点，涨212.84点，涨1.98%；创业板报2273.02点，涨16.50点，涨0.73%。
盘面上，煤炭、钢铁板块现涨停潮，有色、高送转、电力等概念板块涨幅居前，计算机板块较弱势。
