在分析现货白银的价格走势时，投资者用的最多的就是K线图，而K线则是构成K线图的基本要素，其中，月线和周线则是周期为月、周的K线。
所以收月线和收周线其实十分好理解。
收月线指的是在一个月最后一个交易日中准备收盘生成该月的月K线。而收周线就是指一周最后一个交易日中准备收盘生成该周的周K线。
在进行现货白银的投资时，往往周线图和月线图作用于投资观测长期大趋势，其判断趋势运行的方法与普通的1小时图、4小时图等方法并没有任何差异。不过往往用周图和月图判断出的趋势都是以年或月为标准的长期趋势，而在现货白银的投资中，很少有投资者会进行期限那么长的投资。因为现货白银每日的波动很大，每日进行投资操作累计所得并不会比长期投资逊色。
因此，很多时候月图和周图使用频率会比周期较短的K线图要少。不过，因为其对判断大势十分有利，在现货白银的投资中，其也是具有必不可少的重要性的。
