从美国地质勘探局(USGS)数据显示，今年4月美国国内的黄金产量被全部出口掉，4月美国共生产了15吨黄金，比去年的16.5吨有所下降，尤其今年至今，美国的黄金矿产量同比下降了8%。
加上进口后，4月美国总共的黄金供应量为42吨，但这些黄金被全部都出口了。
今年前4个月，美国总共的黄金矿产量为63吨，再加上进口的88吨，总共的供应量为151吨，而前4个月的全部黄金出口量为165吨。
在这些出口的黄金中，62.6吨出口至瑞士；39.6吨出口到中国香港；24.7吨出口到英国；19.2吨出口到19.2吨；8.7吨出口到阿联酋；3.9吨出口到泰国；2.4吨出口到新加坡。
英国和瑞士的黄金大多会在加工后被出口到东方国家，由此，大量美国的黄金事实上都流向了东方。
