据外媒周三(4月8日)报道，武装抢劫犯从墨西哥西部加拿大矿业公司所属的矿山中掠走了大约7000盎司的黄金，按照当前国际金价计算，其总价值约为850万美元。
麦克尤恩矿业公司(McEwen Mining Inc)在声明中称，被盗走的黄金被保存在大约900公斤(约1984磅)的精金矿中，精金矿是矿石加工中的一种形式(含金量很高)。黄金是从该公司在墨西哥锡那罗亚州所属El Gallo一号矿山的冶炼厂中被盗的。麦克尤恩矿业公司表示，尽管公司已经投保，但保额所提供的不够支付全额的损失。
