在贵金属MT4操作平台上，追踪止损主要有两种类型，一种是先设止损，然后设追踪止损，第二种是设一个值做为直接的移动止损。追踪止损在价格大幅度变动的时候，能够对投资者单子的盈利和亏损额度起到很好的保护作用，投资者可以根据需要灵活采取其中一种追踪止损方式。
二、追踪止损的实例说明
何先生在伦敦金价位为1250.00美元/盎司时候做了1手伦敦金合约多单，并设置追踪回撤价位为400个点。
（1）当金价反向运行的时候，达到了止损位点差1246.00美元/盎司，则该单子在1246.00美元/盎司价位自动平仓。
（2）当金价正向持续震荡上行，最高涨至到1270.00美元/盎司，后金价行情发生变化，下跌至1266.00美元/盎司触及到所设置的追踪止损价位差，该单子自动在1266.00美元/盎司价位自动平仓。
