非美集体“哑火”，美元指数则稳步上扬，汇价日内一度上穿96整数关口，最高触及96.09，之后震荡回落至95.80附近。
自“禁声期”结束之后，多位美联储官员都曾发表讲话，多数官员的观点仍是年内加息，这也对美元构成了一定的利好支撑。
不过，美元多头不要忘记有一大潜在风险正在悄悄地逼近：美政府又面临“停摆危机”。美国财政部长雅各布·卢(Jacob Lew)本月初曾警告国会称，美国联邦政府将在10月底过后无力偿还债务并偿付政府支出，希望国会尽快上调债务上限。
时至今日，政府关门的难题又再度摆在市场面前。美国联邦预算专家Stan Collender日前表示，本月底美国政府关门的几率已经飙升至75%。
市场分析人士指出，“9月30日将是本财年最后的日子，到时共和党和民主党是否能就新的预算案达成共识，仍存在变数。假如美国国会无法通过支出法案以令政府获得运转资金，则美国联邦政府将在10月1日被迫关门。”
