GJEPC报告:印度黄金进口预估年减15%

《Scrap Monster》3月25日报导，印度珠宝首饰出口促进委员会（GJEPC）报告表示，2014年印度珠宝首饰的出口预估将年减15%，此为过去十年以来首见，主要因为印度政府将黄金进口关税提高至10%的影响。GJEPC预估，今年印度金饰出口将年减10%-15%，而如果印度政府不放宽进口关税以及相关进口限制措施的话，印度珠宝首饰出口产业还将进一步受创。印度是最大的金饰出口国。GJEPC公布的数据显示，自去年四月起截至二月的本财政年度前11个月，印度切割及抛光钻石的出口年减20%至181亿美元，金饰出口更年减45%至63.5亿美元。2月份，钻石出口额年增16%至21.65亿美元，金饰出口额则是年增1%至7.18亿美元。另一方面，银饰的出口则是明显增长，本财年前11个月，银饰出口额年增90%至13.5亿美元，2月份出口年增45%至8,410万美元。GJEPC此前呼吁政府将进口关税调回原本的2%，因印度的经常帐赤字已经获得了控制。GJEPC副主席Pankaj Kumar Parekh表示，珠宝商希望80/20黄金进口限制措施能有所放宽，并且黄金进口关税能够下调，以保护金饰出口产业。GJEPC认为，如果印度珠宝首饰出口产业能够进一步繁荣的话，就业人口可望较目前的250万人再增加100万人。
印度央行上周宣布包括艾克塞思银行（Axis Bank）、印度工业银行（Induslnd Bank）、克塔特银行（Kotak Mahindra Bank）以及印度商业银行（Yes Bank）在内的私营银行可以在目前80:20的方案下进口黄金，以促进黄金珠宝出口商的供应。据行业人士估计，此次印度央行放宽黄金进口管制将令3月的黄金进口总量较2月增加超过20吨，至40吨左右。
