全球三大铂金产商协薪失败 罢工七周

彭博社3月12日报导，全球三大铂金生产商英美铂金（Anglo American Platinum Ltd., Amplats）、印帕拉铂金公司（Impala Platinum Holdings Ltd., Implats）与隆明公司（Lonmin Plc），因为与南非矿工和建筑业工会（Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union, AMCU）的薪资协议失败，导致罢工已经延续七周的时间，累计产量损失达到499,000盎司，已经超过2012年因致死冲突引发大罢工的产量损失（496,359盎司）。南非逾七万名铂金矿工人自1月23日罢工至今，AMCU要求将最低工资由每月5,000南非币倍增至每月12,500南非币（1,164美元），而三大铂金矿商则最多只愿意加薪9%。Impala发言人Johan Theron表示，由于资方与工会的差异太大，谈判自3月5日破裂之后已经中断，目前几乎没有任何进展。截至目前，三大铂金公司因罢工所导致的收入损失已经超过80亿南非币。南非是全球最大铂金生产国，产量独占全球七成以上，主要均位于鲁斯登堡（Rustenburg）铂金带。2012年8月，因罢工爆发的严重致死意外，曾令南非的罢工潮蔓延逾两个月；这段时间以来，三大铂金矿商均宣布了减产以及关闭部分矿场的计划。
美银美林（Bank of America Merrill Lynch）报告指出，铂金价格受到最大生产国南非供应问题的支撑，同时，近期以来欧洲车市持续下滑的趋势也已经有所放缓。铂金的工业需求主要用于生产柴油车的触媒转化器，欧洲是其重要的市场。但另一方面，铂金价格如果持续上涨，可能会损及铂金饰品的需求。
