印度黄金白银进口总额大减71.4%

《Scrap Register》报导，印度政府周二（3月11日）公布的数据显示，2014年2月，印度黄金和白银进口总额较去年同期大减71.4%至16.3亿美元，因政府为了控制经常帐赤字过度膨胀而限制印度国内的黄金进口。2013年2月印度的黄金白银进口总额达到52.4亿美元，而到今年1月该数字已经降至17.2亿美元。本财年至今（2013年4月-2014年2月），印度贵金属进口总额自去年同期的524亿美元下跌41.47%至307亿美元。
受贵金属进口下滑的影响，今年2月印度贸易帐赤字从去年同期的141亿美元下滑至81.3亿美元，前月为99亿美元。2012/13财年由于黄金和石油进口不断增长，印度的经常帐赤字创新高达到GDP的4.8%，导致卢比大幅贬值。印度财长此前表示，预计印度2013/14财年经常帐赤字将下滑近50%至450亿美元。而印度央行1月公布的报告显示，预计2013/14财年印度CAD将从上个财年的882亿美元（占GDP的4.8%）下降至500亿美元以下（占GDP的2.5%）。
《Commodity Online》3月11日报导，印度最大信评和研究公司CRISIL Research最新报告预估，2013/14财年印度经常帐赤字将降至占GDP的2.0%，此可望创下2007/08财年以来的新低。而2014/15财年印度经常帐赤字预估将略回升至占GDP的2.7%，主要因预期政府的黄金进口限制措施将稍微放宽，以及石油进口与商品的投资消费随经济改善可望回升的影响。
