国际金价50%的时间 或是人为操控

Marriage引述Fideres的分析指出，2010年1月至2013年12月期间全球金价可能有50%的时间是遭到人为操纵。GoldMoney研究部主管Alasdair Macleod指出，当银行在订价的时候、他们已事先知道客户的下单内容、因此有可能藉此从中获利。Fideres分析师Alberto Thomas指出，退休基金、避险基金、商品交易顾问、期货交易商可能因而蒙受损失，很多人可能准备提告。英国金融时报去年底曾报导，德国金融监管机构BaFin正就金价、银价可能遭到操作乙事展开调查、要求德意志银行(Deutsche Bank)提供相关文件。消息人士透露，过去几个月以来BaFin已多次赴德银进行实地查验、拷问相关人员。参与金价订定的银行包括德银、巴克莱、加拿大丰业银行、汇丰(HSBC)以及法国兴业银行；参与银价订定的银行包括德银、加拿大丰业银行、汇丰。
Thomson Reuters去年11月引述《华尔街日报》德国版报导，BaFin发言人表示，除了Libor、Euribor以外，BaFin也查核个别银行在黄金、白银等基准价格制定程序是否涉及不法。报导指出，包括美国、英国相关单位也都在进行类似的调查。彭博社金属矿业研究部主管Kenneth Hoffman去年曾语出惊人地指出，伦敦金库现在几乎已经空无一物，2,600万盎司的黄金已从伦敦转卖至瑞士、香港，最终流到中国人手中。
