美国裁员2千人 预计1月非农数据不佳

截至2013年第3季为止美国电子商务占整体零售比重还没达到两位数水平，但今年以来包括Sear、J.C. Penney Company, Inc.却接连发布营运警讯，显示体质不佳的实体零售业必须加速转型以因应网购大趋势的挑战。J.C. Penney于美国股市15日盘后宣布，公司将在5月初以前关闭美国33家经营绩效不佳的据点、预估将裁员2千人，2014年起年度成本预估将缩减6,500万美元。英国金融时报报导，J.C. Penney目前在美国约有1,100个据点、116,000名员工。梅西百货(Macy`s, Inc.)于8日宣布裁员2,500人、但电子商务部门将增聘员工，因此员工总数预估将维持在17.5万人。美国百货零售商Sears Holdings Corporation(Nasdaq:SHLD)9日宣布，本季迄今(截至2014年1月6日为止)同店销售衰退7.4%，今年度迄今衰退幅度达3.9%。Thomson Reuters 15日报导，Sears加拿大分公司今年预计裁员逾1,600人。
美国第三大零售商Target 10日宣布，数据外露的情况比当初想象的还要严重。初步调查显示，至少有7千万名客户的个人资料(姓名、地址、电话、电子邮件)遭窃。专家认为，Target收银台卡片阅读机防窃机制可能遭破解，导致庞大客户信用卡数据遭窃。本周以来美国公布的经济数据几乎皆优于预期，市场认为上周五公布的差劲12月非农业就业报告只是短暂受到天候因素影响。然而，美国20年来最强寒流是出现在本月初，加上上述一连串企业裁员消息，美国就业市场是否真如乐观人士预期的那么好仍有待观察。特别值得注意的是，2013年12月美国非农业就业机会增加74,000份、当中超过74%是来自零售业，本月究竟会有哪个产业接棒撑起就业市场荣面？CNBC 13日报导，Caruso Affiliated(美国最大未上市不动产公司)创办人兼执行长Rick Caruso日前在美国国家零售业联盟(National Retail Federation，NRF)年会上发表演说时指出，美国购物中心若不积极转型，10-15年内可能就会消失无踪。J.C. Penney 15日在正常盘上涨1.15%、收7.01美元；盘后下跌0.43%至6.98美元。J.C. Penney 2012、2013年分别重挫43.93%、53.58%；2013年的最低点(6.24美元)至少创1990年以来新低。
