美银美林下调金银价预估 因利率上扬

《Commodity Online》报导，美银美林（Bank of America Merrill Lynch）最新报告下调了明年的金价与银价预估，因预期实质利率上扬的影响；但认为金价长期仍会受到实物需求的支撑，而短期也会因为美国两党在预算以及债务上限等问题上的对峙而受到支撑。美银美林将2014年平均金价的预估下调17%至每盎司1,294美元，平均银价的预估则是下调4.5%至每盎司26.38美元。美银美林对金价的预估较其他投行相对乐观，并称全球经济逐渐好转对银价将构成支撑。
美国政府正面临关门的危机。道明证券（TD Securities）分析师Gennadiy Goldberg周一表示，如果两党无法就提高债务上限的条件达成一致，那在美国当地时间周二（10月1日）凌晨后政府将停摆。尽管政府短时间的关门并不会对经济造成太大的伤害，但得知这种结果的企业及消费者的信心将持续受到打压。
不过，分析师对美国政府关门会否支撑金价有不同看法。RJ O‘Brien贵金属部门主管Janet Mirasola在报告中称，如果美国政府关闭，黄金作为避险能力最佳的资产而将受到投资者的青睐。加拿大皇家银行（RBC）全球期货市场贵金属策略师George Gero则表示，政府关门将催生投资者对美国经济再度陷入停滞的担忧升温，但投资人可能会选择抛售黄金以此换取更多的现金。周一，COMEX黄金期货下跌0.9%。
美国政府曾在1995年12月16日至1996年1月6日经历过一次关闭，那段时间黄金价格从386美元/盎司上涨至396美元/盎司。美国政府关门并不是全面停摆，很多极其重要的工作仍将继续， 但是一些不急需的工作将会暂停。CNN根据政府部门上周五公布的应急计划分析， 联邦政府中有330万的员工从事的是极其重要的工作， 他们的工作将不受影响，但是有78.3万政府职员将会被给予临时休假。不过并不是所有的政府部门都公布了其应急计划。
