日本消费税提高将掀起抢黄金热潮

彭博社报道，如果做为政府终结通缩政策一环的提高消费税计划真的实行，日本黄金零售商将准备迎接未来6个月消费者加速扫货的盛况。
日本首相安培晋三9月1日分析日本央行日本银行的企业信心报告后，将决定是否要执行明年4月消费税从5%调升至8%的计划。假设以美元计价的金价不变，美元兑日元汇率维持相同水准，投资人明年3月31日买黄金，4月1日再卖出的话，最多将获利3%。
随着安培透过前所未见的货币刺激措施终结通缩，使今年日元兑美元汇价累贬13%，日本消费者重新对黄金感兴趣，也凸显黄金作为对抗货币贬值和通膨的避险工具角色。政府资料显示，2013年1月-7月，日本黄金进口较去年同期增加两倍至14.2公吨。
东京黄金零售商德力本店总经理新井正弘昨天受访时说：“我们可能会经历类似1997年的黄金热潮，当时是日本政府最近一次提高消费税。
日本1997年4月将消费税从3%上调至5%，为日本1989年推出消费税来首度调升。根据世界黄金协会，日本投资人1997年第一季对黄金的需求，从前一季的9公吨成长1倍多至24公吨。
