美元跌至二個月低點，黃金連續走高
周三(1月12日)美元指數跌至兩個月低點，美國CPI數據顯示通脹率創下近40年來最高，支持美聯儲今年至少加息3次的預期；G-10貨幣兌美元普漲；美債市場對通脹數據反應不大，因為收益率自年初以來已經大幅上升。COMEX黃金期貨連續第四個交易日上漲，並創今年以來的最高收盤價，美元和美債收益率走低，令金價得到支撐。美油尾盤漲近2%，並收于兩個月來的最高水平，美國上周原油庫存降幅超出預期，令油價得到支撐。
美國12月CPI同比增長7.0%，創1982年6月以來新高
美國勞工統計局公布數據顯示，美國12月CPI同比上漲7.0%，增速再次加快，這是自1982年6月以來最快的漲幅，同時也高于前值6.8%。這已經是該數據連續八個月達到或高于5%。12月核心CPI增長5.5%，創1991年2月以來的最高水平。在細分類別中，大宗商品、新車、二手車和卡車的價格漲幅最大。能源漲幅實際上有所減小。
美聯儲金融監管副主席提名人：美國通脹太高，遏制通脹是工作的重中之重
美聯儲理事布雷納德周四（1月13日）出席國會參議院銀行業委員會關于她提名資格聽證會的講稿中表示，讓過高的美國通脹放緩是美聯儲最重要的工作，優先任務是保護經濟增長、幫助複蘇，支持那些對諸多（金融）條件作出響應的貨幣政策，承諾將維持美聯儲的獨立性和無黨派屬性、承諾將維持金融系統的韌性。此前，拜登已經提名布雷納德為美聯儲負責金融監管事務的副主席。美聯儲主席鮑威爾本周已經出席了關于自己連任提名資格的聽證會。
