黃金倒V波動，上行趨勢受阻

8月10日，現貨黃金在沖高後出現明顯回落，行情呈倒V變化，雖然美元回升讓投資者對於黃金減少了投資熱情，但也推動了投資者拋售黃金獲利了結，同時由於美國最近經濟數據表現良好， 美聯儲可能不會進行激進寬鬆政策。
分析師表示，這只是這波升勢中的自然回調，人們只是在獲利了結，因金價經歷了如此快速的上行，且美元過去兩天一直在上漲。
美元回升影響了投資者們對黃金的態度，並且在大漲後也更傾向於獲利了結。金價回落修正是合理的，主要還是取決於市場對美元的看法，目前貿易問題的緊張局勢都是利好美元的。美元往往被視為避險資產，近期貿易局勢緊張使得不少投資者選擇了美元避險，這使得美元計價的黃金承壓。
資金大量湧入全球最大黃金交易所買賣基金（ETF）SPDR Gold後，部分投資者”收手“，以致該ETF上周五錄得3.82億美元資金流出，儘管相對於該個規模820億美元的ETF而言只是小數目，但流失的資金仍是3月以來最多。
不過也有分析師認為黃金在當前價格水準上出現回調是健康的。市場回撤並釋放一些空間是健康的。隨著各國央行繼續印鈔來支持全球經濟，黃金被認為是抑制通脹的最可靠選擇。
黃金價格在沒有適當回落的情況下迅速上漲。對此分析師表示：“金價可能很容易測試其10日移動均線切入位2011美元，然後回升。由於大量投資者離場觀望，需要等待回調後進入黃金市場，因此預計所有價格回調都可以被視作是買點。我們看到買家在這些回調中突然冒出來，黃金的低點正在逐步的抬升，這是漲勢加速的跡象。未來幾年的貨幣政策將使利率保持在接近零的水準，美國和全球將推出大規模的刺激計畫，這將導致美元貶值。正是這種貨幣政策推動了黃金的上漲。”
