美國房市數據表現疲軟，金價維持升勢

10月17日，美國公佈了9月房市數據，該數據表現較為疲弱，而且其中的新屋開工數據不及市場預期，營建許可錄得負值。在房市數據公佈後，美國方面還公佈了初請失業金數據低於預期，眾多數據普遍不及預期。
具體數據顯示，美國9月新屋開工年化月率實際公佈-9.40%，預期-3.2%，前值12.3；美國9月新屋開工年化總數實際公佈125.60萬戶，預期132.0萬戶，前值136.4萬戶。
美國9月營建許可月率實際公佈-2.70%，預期-5.3%，前值8.2%；美國9月營建許可總數實際公佈138.70萬戶，預期135.0萬戶，前值142.5萬戶。
美國9月新屋開工數據：美國房屋建築數據從9月的12年來高位已經回落，但單屋住房建升連升四個月，這表明房地產市場仍受到抵押貸款率降低的利好影響，雖然近期經濟增速正在放緩。
分析指出，今年紐約、邁阿密和西雅圖等一些較大房地產市場的房價均在不同程度和週期上出現了下跌，由於不少潛在買家因多種原因被排除在這些市場之外，使得房市變得低迷。分析警告稱，如果明年美國經濟陷入衰退，那麼美國房價在不久的將來會出現下跌，甚至可能會出現崩盤。此外，美國房地產市場對外資的吸引力正變得越來越弱。
有分析指出，在全球經濟增速疲軟的大背景下，美國住宅房地產市場持續低迷，價格漲幅和交易數量都大幅放緩，新建房屋增速也十分疲軟。對於海外投資者而言，最重要的還是“確定性”，所有的“不確定因素”都會成為阻礙他們投資的動力。
此外，其他美國數據顯示，美國截至10月12日當周初請失業金人數21.40萬人；預期21.5萬人，前值21萬人。
美國10月費城聯儲製造業指數實際公佈5.6，預期7.6，前值12。
據最近進行的一項經濟調查顯示，65.3%的私營部門預測人士表示，美國製造業正在衰退，即至少連續兩個季度出現萎縮。
預測人士對2019年下半年經濟增長的預測也有所下降，他們預期美國經濟產出在第三季度和第四季度平均增長1.82%和1.77%，低於9月調查時預測的增長1.92%和1.81%。受訪者在對經濟前景的評論中大多提及不確定的貿易前景、疲弱的全球增長和美國的政治局勢。
