金價探底回升，雖被限制但總體趨勢明顯

8月22日，現貨黃金探底回升，因技術上的調整需求，金價上漲趨勢有所限制。但在眾多基本面因素的影響下，金價上漲趨勢仍然明顯。同時市場密切關注傑克遜霍爾全球央行年會上鮑威爾發表的言論。
美國經濟放緩憂慮。美國民意調查公司SSRS最新的調查顯示，認為美國經濟情況一年之後依然會處於高水準的美國民眾數量也已經下降。目前，56%的受訪者預期，一年後國家經濟將處於良好態勢。同時，40%的民眾則相信，狀況會很糟。2018年末相應的比例分別為66%和30%。
歐洲經濟放緩憂慮。週四德國最新公佈的製造業數據雖然略微好於預期，但連續八月萎縮，再度引發了市場對經濟前景的憂慮。訂單下滑和對產量減少的預期表明德國企業正在迎接可能的經濟衰退。
德國仍然是一個雙速經濟體，服務業的持續增長勉強彌補製造業的持續疲軟。雖然略有改善，但調查中的產出數據不足以消除第三季度GDP再次輕微萎縮的威脅。
預計未來12個月產量下降的公司數量超過預計產量出現近五年來首次增長的公司數量。積壓訂單連續第10個月下降。企業還放慢了招聘速度。雖然服務業就業增長仍然穩固，但製造業就業人數卻以七年來最快的速度下降。
全球貿易問題對經濟的衝擊。國際貨幣基金組織（IMF）21日在其博客上發表文章指出，提高雙邊關稅不太可能減少總體貿易失衡，相反會削弱企業信心和投資，擾亂全球供應鏈，增加生產商和消費者成本，從而損害本國和全球經濟增長。
除了美聯儲的降息預期，歐洲央行的寬鬆措施也呼之欲出。近期義大利政治和英國脫歐前景的擔憂情緒繼續發酵，引發市場憂慮。
雖然日內法國和德國製造業PMI數據均好於預期，但是分析人士指出，德國經濟並未出現明顯的改善，總體上仍處於衰退的過程中，作為歐洲最大的經濟體，仍暗示歐洲經濟面臨不小的挑戰。
分析師指出，最新數據中最令人擔憂的方面是，新業務增長放緩至10年來的最低水準，主要受服務業整體動能急劇喪失的驅動。8月的調查數據提供了一個明確的信號，表明第三季度經濟增長繼續放緩，製造業和服務業的PMI仍遠遜色於2019年初表現。
